My Story

Deuandra T. Brown is an award-winning filmmaker, recording artist, actress, producer, director, screenwriter, songwriter, music producer, children's book author, fashion designer, and runway and print model. A SAG-AFTRA member, Recording Academy Voting Member, and BMI-affiliated recording artist, she has been signed to Detaron Records since 2012. Born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Deuandra earned a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture and Television Production in 2010 and has built a multifaceted career spanning film, television, music, children's literature, publishing, fashion, media, and digital entertainment.

Deuandra began her entertainment career as a performer on Arizona television's Front Row Center, produced by StarBiz Entertainment and broadcast on PAX TV, now AZTV. She later expanded into acting and filmmaking, with credits including Plum, Diamond Cobra vs. The White Fox, Who Else To Blame, Pure Souls, The Missing Page, A Larceny Christmas, and the television series Heavenly Conquerors. She has worked across independent film and television as an actress, writer, director, and producer.

As a recording artist, Deuandra released her debut single "Heart Is Beating Fast" in 2009. Her extensive music catalog includes nine albums—Spoil ME (2012), Selfie (2015), Emojis (2016), Stylish (2018), Parlaying (2022), Glow (2023), Cage (2024), Fit (2025), and Icon Status (2026)—and five EPs: Haters (2013), Spill The Tea (2017), Girl (2019), Young, Wild and Free (2021), and A Canvas of Scars (2026). Her catalog also includes numerous singles, music videos, soundtrack releases, songwriting, and music production credits.

Awards and Industry Recognition

Deuandra received an Akademia Music Award for Best R&B/Pop Song for Selfie in 2015 and Best Music Video for I'm Living In Now in 2016. She appeared nationwide on MTV's Copycat in 2014, performing a song by Alicia Keys, and was featured twice in Billboard Magazine's Emerging Artist section in 2015. She was also nominated at the 5th Annual Indie Music Channel Awards for Best R&B Music Video for Lipstick Heels and was recognized in SAG-AFTRA Magazine in 2018.

Deuandra T. Brown is a Recording Academy Voting Member and an active member of the professional music community. Her work as a recording artist and songwriter has included albums submitted and placed on the Grammy Awards ballot for consideration, representing recognition of her music through the Recording Academy's awards process. Her Grammy-ballot credits includes albums, EPs, singles, songwriting, and music production.

As an award-winning filmmaker, Deuandra has received numerous honors from international film festivals and industry organizations for her work as a director, producer, writer, and actress. Her recognized projects include Plum, Diamond Cobra vs. The White Fox, Who Else To Blame?, Heavenly Conquerors, Invidious, Jatana, Lit A$$ B!tche$, Molly's Paper Doll Land, The Reynaldo Rey Story, Temps Figé, The Sonic Pantheon, and Hyped UP Bunnies. Her filmmaking honors include Best Director, Best Filmmaker, Best Producer, Best Short Film, Best Narrative Feature, Best Children's Short, Critics' Choice Awards, Outstanding Achievement Awards, Festival Awards, and a Bronze Telly Award. Her most recent honors include Best Director at the 2026 JIFF Japan Indies Film Festival for Hyped UP Bunnies and recognition for The Sonic Pantheon at the 2026 Paris Film Festival. In 2025, she received a Patron of Cinema Award for Best Filmmaker at the Black Swan International Film Festival for Temps Figé and multiple honors at the Mokkho International Film Festival for Molly's Paper Doll Land.

In 2025, Deuandra was a winner of the International Impact Book Awards, recognizing her work as a children's book author for her book Bijou.

Entrepreneurship and Media

Deuandra is the founder and CEO of Detaron Productions, an independent film and music production company established in 2010. She is the owner and creator of Detaron TV, a global streaming platform available on Roku devices, and the owner and publisher of Detaron Mag, an entertainment and lifestyle publication highlighting filmmakers, recording artists, actors, models, fashion designers, writers, and other creative professionals.

She also serves as President of the Detaron TV Film & Music Festival Showcase, an initiative dedicated to supporting independent filmmakers, recording artists, musicians, actors, and emerging creative talent.

Her entrepreneurial work extends into children's literature and fashion through her award-winning children's books and fashion design brand Detaron Couture. Through her creative ventures, Deuandra continues to create opportunities for independent artists and develop platforms for original film, music, fashion, publishing, and digital entertainment.
